This radio seems to be an IR100 clone. Although the hardware ID shows up as 968, the config.txt file with this number contains no information other than a referal to config1012 - the main IR100 file. (It also refers to the radio as a Hinke IR608 clone.)

The sharpfin patch has been succesfully applied to this machine, and the firmware upgraded to 257-a-615-a-087 with no apparent ill effects.

Hardware wise this unit suffers from mains hum problems and poor signal strength just as many IR100's seem to. It would appear that it is possible to apply more of the tested IR100 mods to this machine.
